A nationwide clinical study is screening volunteers diagnosed with schizophrenia for participation in a study to further investigate an already FDA approved investigational medication.

If you are a caregiver of someone with schizophrenia, this study may provide an opportunity for them to contribute to important research being performed to identify future treatments of this challenging condition.

  • Participants are usually allowed to continue their own medications for sleep or anxiety
  • Minimal side effect risk

Qualification Criteria

  • For teenagers and adults, must be between the ages of 12 and 55
  • Be diagnosed with schizophrenia
  • Be psychologically stable enough to be treated in an outpatient setting and able to cooperate with eye examinations every six months
  • Be of stable residency
  • Have both eyes and respective lenses in tact
  • Female volunteers must use a reliable method of birth control

Study Participants Will Receive

  • All study-related evaluations, physical exams and visits at no cost
  • All study medication at no cost
  • Possible compensation for their time and travel
